Have a pen or pencil and paper ready, or if you have to use a calculator.
Find a volunteer.

• Get the volunteer to think of any three digit number. Eg 458

• Add 7 to the chosen number.

  458 + 7 = 465

• Multiply the new number by 2.

  465 x 2 = 930

• Now Subtract 4 from that new number.

  930 - 4 = 926

• And now divide that new number by 2.

  926 / 2 = 463

• Subtract that new number with the number you started with

  463 - 458 = 5

The answer will always be 5
